Rad-Mod Guitars started as and continues to grow as a team driven vintage instruments inspired passion project.
Origional Design
A series of sketches, notes, and casual conversation between friends evolved into the creation of original designs deeply inspired by seriously Rad vintage guitars with a focus on what we consider the golden age of electric guitar guitars, 1940-1980.
We are soo excited to unveil our guitars to the world, but not just yet. Stay Tuned.
HOW WE START
Our passion for vintage guitars, amps, and tech invites nearly endless opportunities for revival, repair, customization and modernization of all things Rad not just guitars!
We do things a little differently around here regarding our Restoration & Rad Resale projects.
Vintage instruments and gear wear their bumps and beauty marks as part of their individual stories and unique history. We feel that this is important to preserve (to a point) as part of the whole and diverse story of the pieces we give love to. We find the ideal balance between restoration & preservation because, afterall, our guitars and gear are the silent partners in our musical shenanigans. A little wear and tear, we believe, is akin to saving a concert ticket stub in giving each piece a voice to say, “We were there”.
Rad-Mod’s Rad-Resale Store at Reverb.com showcases a full spectrum of instruments and gear at different ages and phases of their journey. Some of our pieces are only a few years old and just beginning to create a legacy while others are finding a second life with either a focus on vintage correct preservation or truly rad mods.
We’re always on the lookout for exciting opportunities to give new and or original life to guitars (as a focus), amps, and accessories. This means new items in our shop regularly. Check back often for new additions.
